CLOSED!! Happy Heinys Review & Giveaway!!
I'm so happy to give a Happy Heinys review! Haha....okay cheesy saying I know. I just had to. But really I am happy. We have never tried a HH before and I was so excited to try it out on my little big boy!
This week's sponsor shout out goes to Diaper Parties by Candy!! Heeyyy! She's a local mommy to me AND Bman and I are going to participate in the Great Cloth Diaper Change that she will be a host site for in a couple weeks!
I picked out the Organic One Size in the Peace Bears print. The Organic One Size has a pocket opening to put your choice of inserts in. This specific diaper does not include inserts with it. I've used prefolds (which make it bulky) and I've used every day inserts in this diaper.
My first impression of the Happy Heinys diaper I received was that it is SO cute. The Peace Bears print is ADORABLE. I also love the fact that this diaper is organic. Happy Heinys claims on their website that the hemp/cotton blend they use in the organic diaper is "truly" antimicrobial and anti fungal which decreases the amounts of diaper rashes! Yes, count me in!
Once again the aplix over snaps has won me over. Aplix just gives a more snug fit. The leg areas are nice and snug. Though I did find that the Bman had leaked out of the back when he had a major number TWO but I'm pretty sure that was because I was using a bulky prefold to stuff the fluff instead of an insert!
Now for the fun... Candy was ever so gracious to offer a GIVEAWAY! Yay!!

My Baby Boy Turned 2 Sunday
Well we have had one crazy week since I blogged last Thursday with the Thirsties review. My Dad has been in town for the Bman's BIG NUMBER 2 Birthday!!
Friday I spent all day prepping for the party. My Dad and I went grocery shopping then came home and made Brody's Disney's Cars cake. That cake took me FOUR hours to complete from bake time to decorating! It didn't exactly turn out like the picture but for only my second time decorating a cake I thought it turned out pretty darn cute!
Saturday was the BIG party day. We had a bouncy house, LOTS of food (Carne Asada and Hot dogs), cake, lawn games, AND a pinata! It was only about 48 degrees on Saturday but that did not faze the kids one bit. (Um!! I haven't uploaded THESE pictures yet) I will. It's almost a whole new blog post for this one!
Then came SUNDAY! My sweet baby boy turned two! Wow, how time flies. I feel like my baby boy was just born yesterday and now here he is talking, socializing with friends, just being Mr. Independent because I'm two!

I cannot write worth beans!!
Please excuse the Kitchen Mess!

(okay he had a party hangover from Saturday, he was Mr. Groucho ALL DAY LONG)
We went to Gettysburg on Sunday. The museum was packed so we decided to do the self guided Auto Tour of the historical sites in Gettysburg. There was so much history we saw this day. DS wasn't too enthused about driving slow in the car for about two hours but the adults enjoyed it!At a National Cementary

CLOSED!!Thirsties Cloth Diapers- Review & Giveaway
As many of my 'regular' readers know most of my cloth diapers consist of the Thirsties Duo Diaper. I absolutely LOVE Thirsties for multiple reasons BUT my numero UNO reason is that they are a USA made product! Wohoo. Thirties employ WAHM's to help with the manufacturing of their products. Isn't this the most wonderful thing!
Thirsties, Inc. has ever so generously sent a Thirsties Duo Wrap (size two for my 28lb 24 month old) and Prefold to review.
When I received the products they came so ADORABLY wrapped in blue silk ribbon and included in the package was pamphlets on how to care for the products as well as a Thirsties product catalog. I received the Cool Stripes Duo Wrap in Aplix.
Top Five LOVES about the Duo Wrap:
1. APLIX: I love the fact that I can adjust accordingly to literally get the "perfect" fit around my son's abdomen. Aplix allows for even the tinniest adjustment which can make a world of difference when it comes to a leak proof system.
2. Leg gussets: Thirsties designed an AMAZING leak proof system by having the sewn in gussets in the wrap which makes for the messiest explosions (which we did encounter, my son is famous for them) leak proof.
3. Pul: What a great waterproof/leak proof concept. It's still breathable just enough to ease away my worries of getting or staying too moist. The pul material helps from getting DS's clothes wet.
4. Sizing snaps: The two levels of adjustment snaps really help with the leak proof protection in the leg area. I usually put the snaps on the first row to get the extra snug fit for night time.
5. Print/Color: Thirsties has adorable colors and patterns to choose from and I was very happy when I was able to pick the color which was Cool Stripes
**The only thing I find that I have a hard time with are the Laundry Tabs. My tabs never stay put in the wash so sometimes I get the chain gang going on but that will not stop me from loving my Thirsties!
Top Five LOVES about the Duo Hemp Prefold
1. Soft: Again, the first thing I noticed about the Thirsties Duo Hemp Prefold was that I was amazed with how soft the fabric was AND it remained that way after washes.
2. HEMP: It's made of natural products. Enough said. Being that it's made from hemp it also is antimicrobial. Cool huh?
3. Easy: This prefold folds so easily into the trifold. I've had issues with other prefolds where they become so thick and chunky when it's trifolded that it looks so bulky on my DS. NO need for Snappis or pins!
4. ABSORBENT: Surprisingly because 90% of my cloth diapers are either pockets or AIO's I don't have an extreme use of prefolds. Thirsties prefolds are now my favorite prefolds (and I am not saying this because it's a review).
5. #2 Proof: Not going to say much more, but for my 24 month old, it all stayed on the prefold!
**A bummer about the Duo Hemp Prefold is that it's $7.00 for ONE prefold. I would still recommend to have a couple of these in your stash because they are worth it and they make prefolds and covers SO easy to use.
Okay okay! For the good part. Thirsties has offered one of my followers a chance to win the Duo Wrap in their preferred size and color along with a Duo Hemp Prefold!

Photos by Allenaim Photography
Remember in my What I Wore Wednesday post where I said I have gained a new friend through the blogging world well it is so true. Amy at Allenaim Photography is an amazing person, has a beautiful family, and a GORGEOUS home and garden.
Amy has two wonderful blogs! Allenaim Photography and a Nest For All Seasons! Please give her some love and check them both out! If you live in the Central PA area or visiting the Hershey area PLEASE contact her for your photography needs.
I wanted to share more of the pictures she took of me to show how AMAZING she is with the camera. She has a great eye. Some of these shots she was laying on the ground and getting dirty just so she could get the PERFECT capture! She did and hands down these photos are FABULOUS!!
