Apologies...
for not posting much these past couple days. I've been sick. Fever for three days, sweats, coughing, and congestion...yuck! Now my voice is practically gone. I may go to the doctor tomorrow morning if my fever doesn't subside. Thank you for understanding. I will be up to par in a couple days.
DON'T forget about my Udderly Smooth Review/Giveaway that was posted on Friday!

Little Helper In the Kitchen Thursday (On Friday)
So I totally forgot to post this yesterday for my "In The Kitchen Thursday"! Our little guy wanted to help "mimi" make biscuits. This was on Wednesday evening. He calls me "Mimi" not Mommy for some reason! SO I have not yet let him help me in the kitchen before and he loved it! He would roll out the dough, use the cup to cut out the circle, then start it all over again. He had so fun while we waited for "Mimi's" biscuits that were already baking in the oven!
Notice him wearing his MOST adorable Thirsties Duo Diaper in Blackbirds! So cute huh?
***CLOSED**Udderly Smooth Review & Giveaway
It is finally time my lovely followers for my first hosted review and giveaway! I had actually won this product from another giveaway and thought it was great! I contacted Udderly Smooth to see if they would like to participate with me in a review and giveaway and they sent me some awesome products (free of charge of course) to review and give to my AWESOME blog followers. So here we are!
I have been reviewing their Udderly Smooth Udder Cream (8 oz).
First of all who can resist the cute packaging. :) The first thing I noticed about the Udder Cream was that it wasn't a heavy product. It is actually lightweight and SILKY smooth when it glides on. I've been using it on my hands and wrists and forearm everyday for a little over a week due to my dry skin from this East Coast winter. Guess what......Udderly Smooth is a USA made product and you all should know that this is VERY important to me!
The product I received is lightly scented but that is fine. For feeling like it is lightweight it sure works as a heavy duty moisturizer. My skin is so soft and smooth. I no longer have cracks in my knuckles from dry skin. I also had a red and very dry and cracking rash on my wedding ring finger (Gross huh? only my family knows about this as I cover it up with my wedding ring) and the Udder Cream to my surprise healed it up and it is almost completely unnoticeable! For me this is great because I have had this rash for a couple months now due to the weather!
So I am pleased to say this product was definitely worth trying as it won me over. Mostly because my nasty rash is going away but also that my hands are amazingly soft!
How to enter: Please complete the Google Docs form below! The last day to enter is February 15, 2011. Winner will be announced and notified on February 16, 2011! Good luck :)

Child's Art
Today I let the kiddos use finger-paints (DS and his friend)! They loved it. After I let DS's picture dry I was trying to figure out what to do with it. The piece of paper was too large for my refrigerator, which usually that's where artwork goes. I remembered I had a few extra black frames left....and wa-la! I just cut the large painting of DS's into 5 x 7 sizes!
I thought this was a great idea to put into our living room. It looks really cute PLUS you never know; our little one might be famous one day! :)

Girls night and then some....

So I have a girls’ night coming up Friday evening and I am super excited! I’m going to be hanging out with another MilSpouse and her friend. We have a dinner date and movie. Best of all her hubby is going to be our driver everywhere. Even picking me up from home. Trust me, I might need that! I’m a lightweight when it comes to drinking, what can I say! No seriously, just one glass of wine gets to me! I attribute that to not being a drinker or “party girl” in the past. While all my friends were drinking and having a good time in college I was at home planning my wedding or working. I wasn’t into that scene and I still am not, especially now with a little one. I never drank alcohol under the age of 21 and when it came to my 21st birthday I had like two or three drinks. It’s just not my thing.
21st Birthday (that drink to the right...yeah it was never finished!) Oh yes, I was blonde during that time!
In the first year of college I really had a hard time with that. I was trying to figure out whom I was and whom my friends were rather than WHOM I wanted to be friends with. My roomies were always having a good time going to parties and what not and being social, but those weren’t my values. They had an amazing social life where I didn’t. But that is just who I am and what it has brought me to now. I wouldn’t change it any other way and I wouldn’t want to change them. Everyone has their own way of growing up and this was mine. I became mature earlier in life than most of my peers. I thank the Marine Corps lifestyle for that. Getting married at 19 and moving to another state with the hubby (California) and having bills and responsibilities made me become an adult while I was still in my “teen” years.
So now that I got a little off subject, though it came to me while writing and I then wrote it, back to Friday night!
I have no idea what to wear. I know it’ll be cold but I still want to look cute. Hubby will probably ask me, “Who are you trying to pick up?” And I will respond, “myself.” A stay at home mom does not always wear makeup everyday and doesn’t do her hair or dress up, at that. Again, this is like 70% of my excitement for going out; I get to play dress up! It’s too cold to wear a dress, BUT, I could add leggings to it, but if I wanted to wear my heals I will need to add tights under that.
Anyone have cute winter “night out” fashion recommendations?

I really like that far right look (grey dress) I'm pretty sure I can pull it off!
